Travelling University 2013 leads to Cape Verde

The Institute for Applied Material Flow Management (IfaS) is mandated by the Government of Cape Verde to develop a technical and strategic blueprint for the transition towards 100% Renewable Energy powered society since February 2012.

On invitation of the mayor of the city of Praia, IfaS organises a paedagogical management seminar entitled as “Travelling University (TU)”. The TU is offering students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-life projects gaining practical insights in international Renewable Energy and Zero Emission (ZE) projects as well as intercultural management and communication.

The TU is aiming at the development of an energy audit, including energy efficiency and renewable energy project development for the city of Praia.

The TU takes place during the 3rd to 10th of May. During that time the students will conduct onsite research and interviews with various key stakeholders. The findings of the TU will be presented on the occassion of the international Circular Economy Conference of Cape Verde and the German State Rhineland-Palatinate on the 10th of May under the auspiece of the Cape Verdean Ministers for Industry, Trade and Energy as well as the Minister of Finance and the Vice Minister President Lemke from Rhineland-Palatinate.
